It has changed from the days when freepers were investigative reporters, but the younger people have a fresh and often entertaining take on events, and we are lucky to have them aboard. The old folks with their long memories are treasures. And the experts in various fields are invaluable. It’s a great mix.

Your rant isn’t worthy to be called an opus, but with hope it could become the impetus for some warm roasting. Color your reminiscing with rose and you may garner some more sympathy. Whining about the horrible young whippersnappers isn’t likely to win a lot of friends. Every season we hear the same old carp about the good old days, and there was some truth to that. However; as Twain wrote many years ago: the reports of (Free Republics’) death were exaggerated.
