In the run up to the Democratic National Convention NBCs Meet the Press on Sunday held a panel discussion to determine what the event would mean for Hillary Clintons campaign. Since the topic for discussion had to do with Clinton NBC reporter Andrea Mitchell got very excited and began to prattle on, Well, what they are going to do is theyre going to have gauzy films, the same kind of films you saw in 1992, the same producers. She did the same thing when gushing about a staged photo-op for Clinton and President Obama on July 3.
They will have these films, biography, resume, she continued before whining how millennials didnt know about her greatness. They don't know what she actually did, what she accomplished. Theyre going to do all of that, Mitchell explained to the panel.
MSNBCs Rachel Maddow questioned if the films would have a reach beyond the convention attendees. She shouldnt do it through film, because TV networks don't always take the movies anymore because its creepy, Maddow cautioned.
MSNBCs Chris Matthews had his own opinion about how wondrous Clintons nomination would be, I think there is going to be a magic moment in this convention, its going to be Thursday night. He imagined people tuning in from all around the country in amazement of the woman who could be president. And there are going to be misty eyes all across the country, he predicted.
But Matthews had a warning for anyone who dared to mock Clinton during her special hour. And in any minute that moment you make a wisecrack, [you] are going to guarantee another vote for Hillary Clinton, the Host of Hardball stated trying to suppress decent.
