The Democratic convention begins tomorrow in Philadelphia, with the party’s leaders scrambling to fend off a series of negative stories and present a unified front.

.In order to placate the Sanders forces, the Democrats have announced that party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s speaking slot has been canceled. Wasserman-Schultz was the chief anti-Sanders schemer, so canceling her speech may not be enough: this morning, Sanders demanded that she resign as party chairwoman. My guess is that the Democrats will throw her all the way under the bus in a desperate attempt to look unified.
Meanwhile, another controversy has arisen over the convention speeches scheduled to be given by Lezley McSpadden and Gwen Carr, the mothers of Michael Brown and Eric Garner respectively. The Democrats evidently chose to come down firmly on the side of the anti-police movement. But their plan elicited a furious response from John McNesby, President of Philadelphia’s police union:
I like that last line: “Mrs. Clinton you should be ashamed of yourself if that is possible.” The DNC, scrambling once again, now says they will add a couple of policemen to the list of speakers. That’s big of them.
With the exception of Ted Cruz’s performance, the Republican convention came off without a hitch, was not disrupted by protests either inside the hall or in the streets, and presented a positive image of the party.

I would not describe Ted Cruz's immolation as a "hitch." It was a necessary bit of closure.
If he were a man of conviction... nay! even a MAN! he would speechify the rotten, corrupt party now run universally by Clinton Cronies...from the Stage of the Convention and on the floor.
He would be giving interviews with any media outlet that would allow him time to make his case.
And he would embarrass a large number of Super Delegates into switching sides.
But Bernie is not a man. He'll simply whimper as another man takes his wife at will.
This is fun to watch. Their candidate is an unindicted criminal that violated national security and took bribes for favors she did them as secretary for obama. Those bribes were paid through her reprobate criminal husband for sham speeches or saxophone solos.
But now they are exposed ans steeling the nomination through rigging and attacks on Bernie Sanders and actually coordination anti trump “protests” and burning American flags and waving Mexican Flags. Washerwoman Shults has been sacked from speaking for her incompetence and the VP pick is a “girly man” no one has ever heard of and hardly presidential timber. Thing are very dark in the convention now. It will go down hill.
Hillary cackling, Bernie fans screeching, protesters shouting, Bill Clinton appearing with the mothers of Trayvon and the Gentle Giant, LGBT’s running amok, etc. etc.etc.
This is going to be the most entertaining political convention EVER!

Funny how the left was claiming ALL week that its the Republican party in disarray but look at the DNC..they are the ones in full meltdown mode
Hillary might find out what it was like in Benghazi.
What would be even better, much better, is if the police protecting the hall decided to show up, and as soon as the gavel drops, leave, allowing the Sanders forces and every other raving idiot entrance.
That would be good TV.
