AP Poll: Americans Disapprove of Obama’s Handling of Gun Laws, Believe Gun Ownership Makes Us Safer

An Associated Press (AP) poll released July 23 shows that 59 percent of Americans disapprove of President Obama’s handling of gun laws, and an even greater majority, 62 percent, believe owning a gun makes people safer by “preventing them from becoming victims of crime.”

The poll also shows that 53 percent of Americans support national reciprocity for concealed carry permits. National reciprocity renders a concealed carry permit issued in one state valid in every state. An overwhelming majority of respondents also said a “high priority” for law enforcement should be “cracking down on people who own guns illegally” and “cracking down on people who sell guns illegally

The momunists have "clearly shown" that like 185% of "real Americans" want to reduce gun ownership and stop all gun violence and domestic abuse by further infringing on an outdated piece of the bill of rights. coming from the AP seems like it’s pretty significent...not that the AP itself is credible but getting that kind of response makes me think their readers are not as dumb as the AP would like to think

Gun control and crime rates have little to do with each other. The amount of crime a given locale has is directly related to the number of available criminals it has.

I built my home about 16 years ago in a nice development. The police don’t patrol my neighborhood, yet we have little to no crime here. Probably because we have no criminals.

The AP had a poll yesterday [and usually following any news-making shooter story] that people were clamoring for MORE gun control.
