That article in post #5 gives more detail than I've seen anywhere else. Apart from the alleged "Allahu Akbar" shouts, there is little to suppose a religious motivation, but the police might just be suppressing that angle.
It is interesting that in this article the alleged bullying of the shooter came from "Arabic and Turkish" students, not ethnic Germans. This might end up being more analogous to the Columbine massacre than to any classic Islamist act. And despite Shepard Smith, it was NOT a neo-Nazi act.
