I just finished watching Donald Trump's speech tonight.
He's trying so hard to convince people he's a statesman. But I'm not fooled by what I just heard, and no one who works in education should be, either.
It's more obvious than ever that this man has a dangerous, disturbing vision of America. That he's committed to dividing us, cultivating fear, and exploiting frustration.
Tonight, Donald Trump showed exactly why we can't afford to let him near the White House.

Watching that speech tonight, [Wife], I thought a lot about you.
You do important work every day to make the world a better place. You fight to protect opportunity for all students. You prove time and time again that when educators come together, they transcend fear and bring about real progress. And you deserve a president who will fight for you.
So here's my commitment: For the next 108 days, I'm going to fight with every fiber of my being to make sure Donald Trump never sees the inside of the White House.

There is a candidate in this race who has dedicated her life to helping others. She's sacrificed to get where she is, and she's ready to do the job on Day One.
Trump? Despite his rhetoric tonight, I'm not sure he's made a sacrifice in his entire life. He cannot be our next president -- but every legitimate pollster thinks he's got a real chance. It's going to take everything we have to stop him.
I hope you'll join me in that fight.

Just keep paying those dues to support the Democrats.
The corruption of the unions and their financial support of the liars to support your pay raises and benefits.
Don’t take any responsibility for actual education or choice for kids to learn.
Wisconsin stopped the practice of payroll withholding by the state of union dues and the unions lost at least 50% of it members.
Take away their mandatory union dues and watch membership drop.
Proof? Examples? Nope. None. Just move on to the fund raising.

She pays dues to the MEA. I believe the MEA kicks back to the NEA. State and federal law prohibit dues from being used to contribute money to candidates. Michigan has a union dues op-out law, but no, she does not opt out.
