Yes, the notion that Cruz stayed in the race as long as he did to allow the election to be thrown to a GOP-e candidate was just incredibly stupid. He stayed in the race to win.

His hope was to boil it down to a one-on-one. That’s the irony of Kasich going NeverTrump: Kasich is the person besides Trump and Cruz most responsible for Cruz’ defeat. So whenever you hear Kasich or Bush attacking Trump for his character, know that what they really hate about Trump is his Americanism.
