I participated in a study once at the university I attended where you had to read articles that would, eventually, disagree with your politics. The researchers wanted to see if and when people would stop reading, or if they would be open minded enough to consider alternative opinions. Most of the students would read the article until something was written that they disagreed with and then they'd move on to something else. Pretty hard to educate closed minded individuals. But I'm not educable? LOL.

Thanks for the ping! I wrote a fairly long note to the moderators stating that this guy was a relative newbie, made a provocative post, and then didn’t respond to people that commented (as of the time of my note, at least).
