Putin doesn't promote Christianity. He promotes the Russian Orthodox Church. 90% of Russians are members of this church. That's because Putin arrests anyone who tries to compete with his church. Only 30% of the members of this church believe in God. Totalitarians are real good at group think. Most Russians know it's all an act. Too bad there are so many here who are not as smart.
