The 'knowns' & 'unknowns' in the race for president

An element of political correctness has fed into this election's unknowns; people are afraid to talk, to joke, to be themselves.

Last week, journalist Betsy Fischer Martin took umbrage over a United Airlines pilot's compliment to flight attendants; he called them “pretty young ladies.” Martin used her large Twitter following to demand that United do something about the pilot's behavior.

This outrage-industry of the left is crushing us. Everyone is 1 degree away from melting like a snowflake over some imagined slight, and everyone is afraid to talk about it, for fear of sounding offensive or being labeled anything that ends in “ist.”

But many people see Trump as someone who doesn't censor himself; even when he says something incredibly foolish, his vice is forgiven because of his larger virtue of speaking fearlessly.

What does this all mean?

Hard to pinpoint, but all of these elements are the “knowns” — known by regular people, although not by many politicians or journalists — that contribute to the “unknowns” of where the nominations of these two very different candidates will take us in November.

One thing is certain, though: If you think American populism is at peak anger and unreasonableness right now, you are underestimating the knowns.

The problem isn’t that I don’t know what in the world Trump is or isn’t going to do if he wins.
The problem is I KNOW what Hillary is going to do if she wins..

Unknown unknowns:

The general public is completely oblivious to the fact that Hillary has completely lost track of how many people she has had killed.

Bingo!!! One way to pilfer Hildabeast's coffers is to visit every site she has an ad on, click on it a dozen times, then move on to the next site. This pathological liar and unindicted criminal deserves no less. Carry on....

Off with his head! I’ll bet old “Eagle Beak” Betsy Fisher Martin was never referred to as a ‘pretty young lady’; and that is what sparks her ‘umbrage’.

Strictly envy. She has lived her life never having had anyone refer to her as a “pretty young lady.” It’s killing her.

Americans are angry, but we are angry about different things. The political class seemingly designed it that way, pitting sub-groups against sub-groups for political advantage. It is also a little bit of squeaky-wheel syndrome. Small ad hoc groups, especially those outside the main or who challenge convention, make noise and get attention by media and thr political class. But its now to the point that many of these groups are created specifically to agitate and create discord and political advantage, e.g. Soros funded groups that pay people to turn up at a protest.
