I agree and would also suggest the western world has a political system based on Christian beliefs. We have forgotten that. Islam and Christianity are both distinct worldviews and they are not compatible with each other.
We have been conditioned to try to separate religion and politics and forget that politics are born of, and reflect, the morals and ethics of the dominant beliefs (religion) of society. Religion is more basic, the foundation, of politics.
Even if western people are no longer religious, they are swimming in, and benefiting from, a political system based on Christian beliefs. They don’t even realize that because it is not taught like that that anymore.
