***Whos to say the cops would obey, even if they got orders, after last week?***
I hope they don’t. Dallas should be the line in the sand for all cops!
I just spent the last two evenings at “bike nights” and the usually jovial cops seemed tense and somewhat grim.
[not about the bikers, they know we’re cool with them...I think it was the whole “festive crowds” issue...it’s on their minds *and* the town we were in tonight has a “halal butcher” just outside the limits]
They relaxed a bit and appreciated the home-made Thin Blue Line patch I had just put on my vest.
Right now, *any* bit of appreciation and encouragement you can give them is well received.
They’re edgy and feeling like targets, I reckon.
So, if all of y’all get the chance, go tell a cop you’re on their side, pray for them, etc.
It means a lot to them.
Also, FWIW, in a town nearby, which shall remain unnamed, there was a BLM protest tonight.
I have a friend works in the city PD and they were ready to rumble.
When the civilian employees went to their cars after their shift was over, the AR-15 toting officers went with them.
