Not necessarily. Erdogan is an Islamist. The Turkish military have always been secularist.

P.S., Obama and Erdogan are good buddies. Two like-minded dictators, and both Islamists. Much overdue to get rid of ours now, via either an election or a second revolution.
Unless they aren’t anymore. With Isis and the Brotherhood both being strong on the other side of the border who knows who has infiltrated the military. After the way “Arab spring” turned out I no longer expect improvement.
