What a ridiculous statement to make. Ask Muslims if they believe in shariah....you might as well ask Christians if they believe in the Apostles creed.

Political posturing at its worse.

I was thinking the same. Of course they believe it, or most feel compelled to say they believe it. And by the way, isn’t this the sort of grand, sweeping policy statement that a presidential candidate should be making? NOT an ex speaker of the house. Maybe Newt was replying to a direct question. It still seems like he’s trying to steal the limelight from Trump.

At some point whether it’s Trump or someone else with guts will have to state like the Hungarian President with their Constitution that Islam is incompatible with the US Constitution. Newt is the closest any public figure here has come to that assertion.

Not quite. More like asking Christians should they follow the old Testament.

Would agree with you if it wasn’t followed up with the comments about monitoring. This won’t fly well with those against profiling etc., and I understand and concur generally with the civil rights issues. That said, when your best intentions as a society are being used as a source of weakness and a means to attack you, you have to make significant adjustments. I think you need to ask the Sharia question publicly, of the Imams and those with leadership positions within the Muslim community. If they lie publicly, you don’t allow them to walk it back in the Mosques. It’s about philosophy, and the philosophy that Sharia supersedes all national laws is incompatible with being a citizen.

Yeah. It’s not feasible at all. How would he do that? How would he find all Muslims unless people have to put their religion in a federal database? How would he know if they are telling the truth? We do have to ensure they are never permitted to set up Sharia courts in the US, though. That’s necessary.

What else should we do. If you listen to Newt you’ll hear a few facts. 70 or Sharia courts in UK? Who knows how many in France. There are no go zones in UK and France. You want that here?

I agree with Newt. Check out the Mosques, check out their schools. Check out how little girls are being treated. Check out their stand on Sharia law.

Why is this any different from the KKK? Islam in the form we are seeing is not a relgion of peace. I doubt that it’s a religion to be honest. It’s an ideology....like Communism.

You made a statement. Now you give us a solution. YOu sound like Paul Ryan.
