The family of Philando Castile has shared a copy of his permit to carry letter with Fox 9. The permit was issued by Hennepin County on June 4, 2015.

Not according to a talk show Reynolds was on with her attorney, when the well known media host told both of them the officers own attorney stated the police have their own audio/video. He even asked both if they were nervous about it, and both stated, “Release it, lets see it”
I watched the interview personally. It’s out there, trust me.
i don’t care how many license to carry this guy had, if he didn’t follow protocol and orders, and he reached for that weapon, sorry, but out go his lights. CPL’S are not a game ...dangerous stuff. Even money this cop wont be charged.
Regarding 81, let me see if I can find that link to what I referred to.
I agree with your approach to focus on the important facts and issues.
I look to whether the officer had the right to use deadly force based on the circumstances he encountered and what a reasonable officer might do under those circumstances. The CCW permit is mostly besides the point for this issue. If the officer knew Castile had a gun on his lap and saw him make a move towards it in violation of the officer's orders to remain still, then the use of deadly force is appropriate. How many bullets does an officer have to take before he gets to shoot back?
Frankly, I don't know that we have enough facts yet to state with certainty that this is what happened.

he was driving...the picture was reversed when it was recorded
This is the link, it’s the first video right near the top, where a well known media host told both Reynolds and her attorney the officers own attorney stated the police have their own audio/VIDEO. The host asked both if they were nervous about it, and both stated, Release it, lets see it
Its sad, it was not a good situation for either. Other then some traffic tickets and a pot charge, seems like a fairly strait up dude with a job. Cops are just edgy, at rightfully so, I wonder if BLM understands that what they are doing is costing more innocent young black men their lives. They are not helping this situation, if anything, they are making it worse.
The attorney representing the officer who shot Castile is talking about the audio and video in the hands of the police; his client would be in a position to know. Why would he bring up audio and video that incriminate his client? Lawyers sometimes play odd games, but this is a point to ponder.
It’s entirely possible that the police are hiding something, and your “felony stop” angle is an interesting observation. But I think the current PC climate leaves “upper management” of police and cities afraid of inflaming the mob by “attacking the victim” by defending themselves. They want things to calm down over time, as well as to make sure they look at all angles before putting too much out there, and to let fake witnesses, if any, put themselves on record with provable lies before releasing evidence. Reynold’s attorney would love to see what hard evidence the cops have; he’s had to muzzle his client in the meanwhile.
Hopefully ALL of the footage from last week is on that phone, if anymore than what we've all seen so far.
No one has seen what actually happened last week when lead was flying except Reynolds, the cops, and possibly the 4 year old kid.
There's no way to know for sure but I'm sure there's more video/audio on that phone, timestamped and everything, that recorded what really happened as it happened.
Lied about what?
I wonder if BLM understands that what they are doing is costing more innocent young black men their lives. They are not helping this situation, if anything, they are making it worse.
...
There you go. Their purpose is to make it worse.
I agree with your read on it.
By the time all the facts are known in this case, if ever, the Left will have long since moved on to their latest martyr for socialist injustice, an islamic that got caught poisoning a city water supply or some such.
Read my post and you’ll see your reply makes no sense. Go ahead.
Anybody can reasonably surmise opposite conclusions from the info at hand.
I will note (if you desperately wish to find an argument) that procedure for felony stops varies and is not germane to why the driver was shot.
On the technical points regarding the permit, you could be right.
The thing that will ultimately matter is what a jury is going to think with the evidence provided.
Can't/won't speculate on your last point.
Since they cops have yet to release any audio/video, had the officers attorney even see it at that point? Or was he just informed there was audio/video by his client? I don’t know.
I am thinking when asked for Castile’s ID he started reaching down for the ID, while telling the cops he had a gun/CW. Things could have went bad right there. Did Castile react fast enough to “don’t move hands up” after being asked to produce his ID? I don’t know. Just speculating.
I told everyone I thought she was Dorian Johnson redux.
It is uglier than homemade soap but showing criminal intent is a non-starter.
Just glad Marilyn Mosby isn’t in charge of this one too. Her gutless responses to the low information voters and SJW wanting to see police officers hang was her swansong.
Glad to see that Minnesota prosecutors are being methodical and metered, as law should be.
