Experts Defend Queen
Shooting experts defended the Queens action as merciful, saying neck-wringing was the fastest and most humane way to end the birds agony.

I had read that when she was in uniform, she was accompanying her Mother, the Queen, who was walking on some uneven ground. The Queen was having a problem -— wearing heels, so Princess Elizabeth took off her sensible shoes and let her Mother wear them. Elizabeth walked in her stocking feet.
