...Christians in Russia wont be allowed to email their friends an invitation to church or to evangelize in their own homes if Russias newest set of surveillance and anti-terrorism laws are enacted. The proposed laws, considered the countrys most restrictive measures in post-Soviet history, place broad limitations on missionary work, including preaching, teaching, and engaging in any activity designed to recruit people into a religious group. To share their faith, citizens must secure a government permit through a registered religious organization, and they cannot evangelize anywhere besides churches and other religious sites. The restrictions even apply to activity in private residences and online....

Aren’t these the same old Soviet restrictions?
Wow. Don’t give Barry any ideas ...

What about a Bible verse reference printed on the bottom of a fast food drink cup?
This likely will be the destiny of the Christian Church here in America if Hillary wins.
Is this aimed at moslems and western gay loving faiths? Where did the perceived needs for this law come from?

Well, good! Door knockers like the JWs need to take a clue. That includes the standing JWs at street corners holding the AWAKE pamphlet.
Funny! Satan will overplay his cards again.
Whenever there is persecution and the Word of God is suppressed, the brighter the light of God shines.
ISIS and their activities have driven hundreds of thousands, if not millions of former muslims into the Safety Net of Christ. The same will happen soon in Russia I see.
Those pesky Christian terrorists should have know not to mess with Putin.
// Russia’s Newest Law: No Evangelizing Outside of Church
UPDATE: Putin signs new restrictions that limit where and how Christians share the gospel.

Update (July 8): This week, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a package of anti-terrorism laws that usher in tighter restrictions on missionary activity and evangelism.
Despite prayers and protests from religious leaders and human rights advocates, the Kremlin announced Putins approval yesterday. The amendments, including laws against sharing faith in homes, online, or anywhere but recognized church buildings, go into effect July 20.
Though opponents to the new measures hope to eventually appeal in court or elect legislators to amend them, they have begun to prepare their communities for life under the new rules, reported Forum 18 News Service, a Christian outlet reporting on the region. //
So where are the Freepers praising Putin for being this Great Christian Defender?
Karl Marx..."Opiate of the masses".
I suspect this will be strongly enforced against muslims.
Same old LIES!!!!
Orthodox Saints and Metropolitans OPPOSED the Oprichniki!!!!

The Oprichnina was disbanded in 1572.

The REAL issue is that missionaries of protestant sects—which call Russia “unreached territory” and do not consider Orthodox to be “real Christians”—have NO PLACE in Russia—or in the rest of the Orthodox world!!!! Soros of course supports them!

What does this mean?
From the information below it seems this law is aimed at Islamic groups as well as non-registered Christian groups, such as the Jehovah Witnesses and (probably) certain Baptist groups. And my guess is that it won’t apply in the same way to Orthodox Church services or public displays.
NOT IN ANY WAY APPROVING - such clarifying that the aim of the law is broader than Christians.

Yep.

There are “christian” “churches” in the U.S.A. who’ve been forbidding email among the Sheeple for quite a while. 1st time I saw it was 2007
Seems some folks have forgotten why the founders wrote their 1st amendment in the first place - and then protected that with the 2nd.
Of course collectivist Tzar wannabees like Hitlary know very well WHY.
Well then, downstream from that is no Muslim displays of their cult of any kind outside of the walls of the mosque. No dress code for women, limits on women’s rights, noisy “prayers” in a neighborhood, or rug grovelling at “prayer times” at work or anywhere else.
