Well said.
Personally, I think the solution is quite simple. We don’t need nationalization of police or any of that garbage.
We need every police officer that interacts with the public to be required to wear body cams.
It will protect people from abuse, and it will protect the police from out of context phone videos.
Trump...please suggest the Feds fund this. It will solve a problem that people care about.
...she likes the cameras
TLML Thug Lives Matter Less
It is time to bring out the shotgun squad for the BLM protests. No less than lethal loads; buckshot and slugs.
Right. The black community is terminally dysfunctional. And they are bringing down the rest of the culture, and country.
“Lady, you are simply not paying attention.”
My family is in law enforcement - don’t you DARE tell me I am not paying attention! Name calling simply contributes to the general feelings of animosity and distrust on all sides that must be overcome in order to bring about solutions.
The politicians of BOTH parties feed the divisiveness, as it keeps them in power...and the media perpetuates it because they are more interested in traffic than truth.
If reasonable people, on both sides of the issues, are willing to sit down and listen to each other, then we can start to move forward. Blindly following leaders of movements, without asking where they want to lead you, has led to many of the problems we face. There IS common ground but we need to stop demeaning each other!
She thanked them so much that she’s now going to continue to protest against them!
What leeches!
Again, you are not paying attention. The woman still wants to protest after what the cops did for her. It’s ingrained in her and millions like her. Swimming pools full of “ understanding” isn’t going to change them.
I was so moved by her tearful thanks to the police and her shock and sorrow for their loss of life. There she was apparently a black, single mother of five sons. She sat them down and told them about the videos killings of the two blacks they had all seen and that shocked all of us.
She explained to them about the march and that it was going to be peaceful, and how excited her boys were to take part in something that was historic for them. She had a wonderful attitude, even if she had been subject to nothing but black media propaganda.
What happened as she was heading out early to beat the traffic truly broke her heart.
It broke mine just hearing her break down, speaking of the wonderful police, seeing one police man shot down in front of her and thanking God for the policeman who threw his body on top of her and her son as more fire discharged all around them.
She was the finest speaker of anyone on what happened in the eyes of those protesters.
Obviously you missed her poignant tribute. You need to google it. She is a great woman. She is without your many awesome gifts, but she is one great woman.
Headline should read: Woman saved by cop promises to keep protesting police.
I mean really, if the news wanted to create a catchy title that would have drawn in readers.... why didn’t they do that?
Even ignorant dullards "speak from the heart".We used to call speaking from the heart "Using emotion and feelings in place of logic and facts".
I do not respect her for taking part in a racial protest that is ultimately motivated by hatred and resentment.
“Woman saved by cops continues her irrational hatred of them”.
Did not even know this article was posted already and was looking around and nothing shows up. Was told to use the search tool. Thank-you!
Thank you for getting it! This is a woman who has a valid concern for her sons, which is what led her to join in what she expected to be a peaceful demonstration.
After what happened, she is clearly seeing other aspects of the situation and would probably be very open to having a reasoned dialog to find common ground. I am from a law enforcement family but I welcome honest discussions about the problems that we are facing as a country and I refuse to denigrate those who have had a different experience than I have.
We ALL need to stop stirring up animosity and division. As a mother of sons, I would love to meet with this woman and her family and hear their story and share mine with them. I suspect that we could find much on which we agree.
I so agree. Derogatory comments made against this woman, on a video that some have never even seen, is regrettable.
I hope to hear even more from her. She seems to be fair and reasonable minded, and sympathetic to both sides.
