An alleged recording of police audio claims to have captured the moments before Philando Castile and his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds were stopped by a Minnesota police officer, questioning Reynolds account of what happened.
Reynolds claimed, in the video she took of Castile as he laid dying, that they were pulled over for a broken tail light. However, the audio recording makes no mention of that.
“I’m going to stop a car,” the officer is heard saying on the recording obtained by KARE. “I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over.”
The reason, apparently, was the two occupants matched the description of suspects wanted for an armed robbery.
“The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery,” the officer said in the recording.
“The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose,” the officer added.
According to KARE the robbery the officer might have been referencing was one that occurred at a Super USA store in which cash and Newport cigarettes were stolen.

Getaway driver. After all, Philandro had like 79 traffic offenses for not having insurance and driving on a suspended license. Probably didn't even have a vehicle with valid tags.
...and her video (backwards) on “selfie”...
Especially considering he doesn't even have a current valid driver's license.

I would suggest it is more of the case of her being well acquainted with having her 'friends' shot in front of her. It probably happens at least once a day in her neighborhood.
The fact that he had a wide set nose is not necessarily a trait all Blacks have, and more importantly, even if they have wider noses compared to Caucasians, there is varying degrees of wideness among all populations.
For example, my brother has an exceptionally wide nose, and we’re white.
I’ve seen Blacks with big noses, small noses, and narrow noses.
I believe the police man isn’t this stupid—to say the suspect was the same fellow because he was Black and had a wide nose as all blacks do, but more likely the suspect had an exceptionally wide nose and this was noted by the store clerk or witnesses. So, the officer encounters a fellow with an exceptionally wide nose, and yes, a policeman has the right and DUTY to make such observations.
Yeah, but 79 traffic offenses , some for driving without insurance, and driving with a suspended license ? Did he even have a valid, current driver's license on him ?
How can you even get convicted of 79 driving offenses and have a license ?
In my state, getting caught for the THIRD time driving on a suspended license is a felony.
Another possible reason: SHE HIT THE PAYDAY (friend shot by cops AND a video that would go viral).
