Hillary Clinton on Friday rejected the F.B.I.s assertion that she had been extremely careless with classified material as secretary of state, offering her first public comments on the matter since the Justice Department closed its inquiry without bringing charges against her this week.
In interviews on CNN and MSNBC, Mrs. Clinton tried to put the controversy surrounding her use of a private email server to rest, brushing off a rebuke from James Comey, the F.B.I. director, who had criticized her for being negligent.
Although Mr. Comey, in a congressional hearing on Thursday, pointed out several contradictions between what Mrs. Clinton had said publicly about her email use and what she said in sworn testimony, Mrs. Clinton insisted Friday that she did not intentionally send or receive any classified information through her private account. She also appeared to be spreading the responsibility to her State Department staff.

I agree with her statement above. She was not "careless" -- she willfully and knowingly violated security rules, for which most people lose their security clearances and go to jail.
Gross negligence, and she lied to Congress under oath. Guilty guilty guilty. Bears repeating!
Wow, now that she knows she’s off the hook, she mouths off to continue to whitewash her guilt.
The low-information voters will soon forget the FBI’s concerns about her incompetence.
She’s going to be in-your-face from now on. I can see already how emboldened she is.
Comey. How do you prove intent? When someone clearly stated to you that they weren’t careless
I was wrong
With Hillary I actually feel the meaning of the word in a visceral fashion
God help us if she is elected President.
The chick can troll all she wants, no one who holds legal responsibilities does not want to hold her accountable. Voter fraud will be massive if Trump can get out of the convention. Would not be surprised if Trump does not make it out of the convention. Something “under the veil” is going on.
So if she says she was not careless she must be grossly negligent, correct?
With the massacre of Dallas’s police officers last night, I suspect most of the voting public have already forgotten about Comey’s assertion of Clinton’s careless and negligent handling of secret emails.
The fact she waited more than a few hours to respond tells me she did not want to address this again, but internal polling suggests she is getting harmed by it. I could be assuming too much, but Comey said enough (by himself, and answering questions at the hearing) to make her look bad.
The polls assert that this is going to be a close election that will be decided by the usual five or six swing states. That’s appalling if true. Trump has his faults, but is it really true that 45-50 percent of the voters in America think Hillary would even be acceptable as president, let alone desirable? Either the polls are wrong, or this country is about to self-destruct. Which? God help us!
I will not read or watch any interviews with the lying criminal because she makes me want to vomit. However, too bad an opportunity was missed to ask her to explain the many lies she has told the American people over this matter. She lied about having classified info on the server, she lied about sending it and receiving, she lied about knowing about it, she lied about why she set up the server, and on and on. Trey Gowdy’s Q&A with Comey yesterday brought more than a half dozen lies to light. Hopefully someone in the news media can remove their knee pads long enough to ask her to her face why she lied all those times and what was she trying to hide?
She laughs now but one day she will weep for eternity.
I Didn’t Do Nothin’.
Hillary’s defense.
I would deny it also, being this stupid not to know how to run an email and what (c) means...really??? ROFLMAO...
Mr. Comey, you and all the FBI agents who worked with you on this investigation have just been called liars.
Eat your peas.
