Trump loves the cops. He has never demagogued any of these cases, white or black or whatever.
I’ve found his unwavering support for LEO ironic in the case of certain, what we will call, more ardent Trump supporters who have been among the most anti-cop here.
I’m as ardent a supporter of Trump as they come. I am also a cop defender, as one might expect of the husband of a police dispatcher. Until evidence comes out that does not support the police, I should say, because bad cops taint the good cops right along with their bad self. The good cops are the same way. They will defend their fellow cop, until there is conclusive evidence showing they are guilty as charged.
