"Yes, the TR6 was the best looking car Triumph made." Oh, come on. You must have forgotten this work of ah, "art" from the Triumph design studios circa 1975:

In Britain, 3 wheelers are not classified as cars. Which is why there are so many 3 wheelers.

Actually I liked the look of the TR7. To me it was very forward looking for the '70s.
Keeping one running, not so much. It was still a Triumph with a Lucas wiring harness. Oh yea and underpowered. Oh yea and heavier than the TR6. Oh yea and . . .

Drove a new one once, and it was well, completely awful in every way. You scratched your head trying to figure out what went wrong, and as you walked around the car, it hit you:
Other than a few pieces of cloth and sheet metal they called coachwork, the entire car was assembled from off-the-shelf British Leyland leftovers.

They crash just fine. Shouldn't that be: they crush just fine?

I am an, “All IN” reservation holder for the Elio. Cool concept car.

Here's a more reliable 60's sports car:

Originally, I had hoped last this year. Now it looks like first quarter next year. I keep up with Elio. They are making good progress.
Much to do as you might imagine. They are currently building prototypes that will be used for crash testing and they are equipping the factory in Shreveport, LA.

Too bad they couldn’t have put that skin on a Datsun Z chassis.

The later TR7 V-8 bodies were very good looking - (above caveats apply) - but that 1975 version was so hideous you could just see the bell-bottoms, fringe vests and platform shoes of the designers.
