Roger. I think the shooting came from the parking garage and the last active gunman was forced into the El Centro school, across the street.
In a video, it appeared that the gunman parked an SUV alongside the school, exited the vehicle and began engaging the police, killing one officer that had returned fire from behind a column, but unfortunately- the officer had exposed himself or herself to the gunman’s field of fire, and was subsequently killed at close range.
The gunman then ran around the building’s corner, running to the other end of the building, turned the corner and disappeared inside the school, winding up, on the second floor.
Other way around, he was run into the parking garage across the street. The video running around has him ambushing a cop on the east side of the El Centro school tower. I know from working in the area, the doors on that side of the school are usually locked by 8 to reduce access points. El Centro has already announced that everyone in the building got out and the shooter did not get access - which makes sense as the shooter would have had to run further to get to the next open door into the school than to run into the parking garage.
