Good to know. The only .308 I ever fired was a bolt-action, and I'd guess it would take me the better part of a second to get around to the second shot!

I recently had a chance to get ahold of an M1A (aka semi-auto M14, same caliber as the FAL) and it’s not at all the same. Lots of muzzle rise and it goes all over the place in rapid fire. So what rifle you’re using is more critical to how fast you can follow up than whether it’s 308 or not.
