Advisers to Hillary Clinton said the former secretary of state has a better shot of winning the White House in a race against former Mitt Romney than she does against Jeb Bush.
Clinton confidants and other Democrats said in interviews that they view Romney as the weaker Republican opponent in a general election, unlikely to get a second chance from the key swing group of independents who made up their minds about him just two years ago.
“I would like to run against Mitt Romney in every election forever,” said former Obama staffer Tommy Vietor, who also worked on Clinton’s book tour last summer.

Another thing the article shows is the preparation for Jeb to be the nominee - Jeb, stronger than Mitt. The Republicans were going to rally around Jeb, then be shocked when he lost.

P.S. Who's to say the reason Hillary's team was talking up Romney as the opponent they wanted to run against (rather than Bush) wasn't that they really wanted to run against Bush?

Romney was the designated loser four years ago. He ran an incompetent campaign and lost to the unpopular Obama.

I live in SW PA, most of my husband’s family (both he and his brother are no longer members) are LDS.
At large gatherings it’s safe for the majority (all LDS) discuss politics. Romney is their rock star. Think AfAms and Obama.
