Hillary Clinton announces debt-free college plan Hillary Clinton announces debt-free college plan 4 Hours Ago|00:46 Hillary Clinton's newly unveiled higher education plan would eliminate tuition for families with incomes up to $125,000 at in-state public colleges and universities.

That proposal, a keystone of her plan announced Wednesday to reduce student debt and the burden of student loans, is also a victory for her primary rival Bernie Sanders, who campaigned on a platform to make tuition free at public colleges and universities. Indeed, the proposal drew praise from Sanders, who wrote on Twitter that he applauded Clinton's "very bold initiative for the financing of higher education."

Clinton's plan to eliminate tuition at in-state public institutions of higher education would begin immediately for families earning $85,000 or less, and would expand to families earning up to $125,000 over five years. In a release, the Clinton campaign claimed this would cover more than 80 percent of families.

The "debt-free college plan" would also impose a three-month moratorium on federal student loan payments via executive action, to allow borrowers to refinance their loans.

As predicted by Yours Truly here for months (and very astutely by Mr. Limbaugh on yesterday's show). She's gonna buy the BernieBot vote.

“Debt-free” for whom?

Certainly not for the taxpayer.

Plus she keeps the issue of loan forgiveness for those already in student debt alive for the midterms.

I don’t know why she’s bothering to do anything, Jason Chaffett’s is going to give another investigation into her ‘lying to Congress’ and he doesn’t back down...

WayToGoUtah....he’s the one that nailed Mike Lee and Harry Reid on shady deals:

This might save private education. A few elite colleges for qualified folks who can afford it will survive. The rest will close, since all the freebie money will go to state colleges and universities. And those schools? They'll be destroyed by "students" who have neither the interest nor the qualifications to be there. They'll be affirmative action playgrounds. It's already reached that point with some public post-secondary schools.

The answer? I feel for the parents today. Except for the wealthy, the choice will be on-line college education, a technical school, or perhaps a combination of both.

So, with money we dont have, this dope is going to flood universities with people, to chase degrees that will become even more worthless!?

Employers will be able to pay EVERYONE jack because their will be tons to choose from. Your “skills” will have no marketable value.

This will obliterate unskilled workers as these people with their worthless degrees, because they will have no choice but to take every unskilled job there is in order to have a job!

On top of that, universities can now hike fees to Jupiter faster than the Juno probe got there. Textbook companies could charge 1200.00 PER BOOK because it going to be “paid for”!

Wrong, as usual. Her 'plan' is not to eliminate tuition. It is to compel all taxpayers to pay the tuition. She wants to extend the use of armed robbery from elementary schools and high schools to colleges as well.

Hey, I’m just the messenger here. I’m not defending her plan. Only pointing out the obvious that she’ll be buying large numbers of votes.

Watch college prices double or triple, like pharma and mortgages after federal windfalls. Middle class is so screwed.
