The area is middle-class enough (low crime rate) that no one can remember the last officer-involved shooting around there.
Like most of the Twin Cities, the actual bad apples are transplants from elsewhere lured by generous welfare benefits.
I dont know. He said he had a gun and said he was getting his license.
But the cop didn’t know that. The guy wasn’t thinking which is very possible in the moment (the victim)
Couldn’t the cop have grabbed his arm quickly instead? Would still have time to shoot if the guy wrested free and went for his gun.
I dont know.
My friends from 25 years ago would have just punched him out :)
