Gretchen Carlson Sues Fox News President Roger Ailes – Workplace Sexual Harassment Charges…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 6, 2016 | Sundance

Posted on 07/06/2016 5:38:09 PM PDT by bobsunshine

....On Wednesday morning, former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson filed a bombshell sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, alleging that he demoted her, reduced her pay and ultimately fired her in retaliation for turning down his sexual advances and complaining about sexual harassment in the workplace.

In the eight-page civil complaint, filed in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Carlson’s attorneys detail the treatment she claims to have been subjected to during the course of her employment with Fox News, which spanned from 2005 to June of 2016. Here are some of the claims made in the suit:

• Ailes would ask Carlson to turn around while in his office so he could view her from behind.

• Ailes also regularly commented on Carlson’s appearance, particularly her legs, and would urge Carlson to wear certain outfits that he thought enhanced Carlson’s figure.

• Ailes told Carlson she was “sexy” but “too much hard work,” and told her, “I’m sure you can do sweet nothings when you want to.”

• Ailes wondered aloud how anyone could be married to Carlson, and said that marriage was “boring,” “hard,” and “not much fun.”

It came out tonight that she did not get a contract renewal because she was boring as hell and her ratings were terrible, She goes out and get a damned feminist lawyer who thinks she can get a big settlements. The whore lawyer IMO tells her” I’ll handle it”, I’ll bet . Now she is subjected to a HUGE defamation suit by Steve Doocey. She will have bull crap evidence. These beauty babes ride no brains and all looks but when it goes south because they get old and the bloom is off the rose, they sue the hand that fed them. I have a dog with more integrity than this bitch. These are going to kick her wrinkled ass.

First if this stuff is true I don’t blame her for suing the guy but why didn’t she just look for another job?

Second not to excuse Doocey’s alleged behavior but Gretch is no intellectual giant. I used to cringe at some of the dingbat stuff she came up with. She would be great in Hasselbecks old chair on the view. They are all ding bats.

This story saddens me. If Ailes acted like this, Gretchen is right to leave. She should have left years ago.

Ditto for Doocy.

Gretchen is happily married. She should be left alone, not a target of attacks.

I have been on Fox and Friends regularly in the past, once every Wed. for almost six months on a feature called “The Trouble With Textbooks.” I was never interviewed by Carlson that I can recall, but knew Doocy pretty well and always liked him. He was always direct and fair with questions.

I hope this is not true about him. I suspect it is true of Roger Ailes.

Law suits “after the fact,” always sound like sour grapes and retaliatory.

It may be true about Ailes but if so, Gretchen sure did take her sweet time in bringing up this accusation - and coincidently she immediately strikes out once her contract isn't renewed. Unless some other Fox 'babes' want to join her accusations/lawsuit with the same experiences, she looks like a desperate opportunist.

There are already a couple who “left” under murky circumstances.

Clearly one of the most annoying and ridiculous things I’ve heard in a long time. 1) she sat there and yucked it up on air with her male colleagues for years while they made sexualized comments 2) she, along with ALL of the women on fox news dress like they have have a second job dancing on a pole and 3) why is it OK for her to make double entendre remarks but men cannot? Sexually harassed...BULL!
