A key Hillary Clinton supporter on Sunday rejected the idea of appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the former secretary of state's private emails, and said the investigation has not been compromised despite Attorney General Loretta Lynch's private meeting with the candidate's husband, Bill Clinton, last week.
Rep. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif., said repeatedly on "Fox News Sunday" that Bill Clinton's meeting with Lynch was just a "chance encounter" and therefore didn't require Lynch to recuse herself. The attorney general has said she would follow the advice of career prosecutors at the Justice Department, he noted.
"Why stop that process?" Becerra asked. "Just because you have a chance encounter with Bill Clinton, you don't throw that away."
The probe is apparently close to wrapping up.

It might have slipped by Bream one time, but not four times. I don't know why she didn't call him on all that! Big error! Viewers where led right off the path and dragged into the blue berry patch.
Special Prosecutor is a total waste of time as it would extend probably past Shillary’s first term. If the fix were not it, The One would not be on the campaign trail with her. After all, isn’t he the one who will make the final decision? He’s done that by agreeing to campaign, along with Biden, with Shillary.

I think the FBI will send a criminal referral to DOJ. If DOJ refuses to indict, then I think all hell will break loose.
Lynch may have lost control of the situation entirely with that meeting, but there is speculation that she lost control of it prior to that and the meeting was to minimize damage control.

Bacerra is a liar and always has been. “Chance encounter” when even according to sources on the ground Clinton waited 30 minutes for her plain to come in. Hell, I think it was planned well in advance myself, but even under their version he sought her out, made a point of having this meeting.
It’s corrupt, it’s transparently crooked, it pure Clinton.
Congress has a lot of power in this and I believe if they smell blood in the water, I have no doubt they will strike.
Congress has the power to impeach Lynch. They have the power of the purse and would be well justified to use it if Lynch does not recuse herself or resign.
I know there are a good number of Rat Kool-Ade drinkers, but with the shadow of an outstanding criminal referral over Shrillary’s head, her support will plummet. The convention would be in total disarray.
There are rumblings afoot very much like those before the Lewinsky debacle hit. It will go downhill for the Clintons and their loyalists from here. Soon it will be every person for himself and loyalists will flee like rats from a sinking ship.
I’m not greedy. At the very least, I would like to see Shrillary’s political aspirations squashed for all time. An indictment would just be the cherry on top of the sundae. The Clintons are a blight on this nation.
