One of the nations leading experts on marijuana and criminal justice fears Californias ballot to legalize marijuana could result in plummeting prices and rising rates of marijuana disorder.
Professor Mark Kleinman, an adjunct scholar at the Center for American Progress excoriates the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, which qualified for a November ballot June 28.
The bill allows commercial legalization of marijuana and six plants per household, with no limits on the quantity produced but a ban on sales and advertising to minors. California would impose a $9.75 tax (33 cents per gram) of flowers and a 15 percent sales tax on the retail price on top of the states regular sales tax.

I live in a somewhat strange area, climatically. One November, I was on top of a local hill with a couple of radio techs and a deputy from a nearby county. A couple of guys rode by on mountain bikes and the deputy said something about trespassing... very common thing in that area. I said they were probably just going in to check on their crop. He said the frost would have killed it by now. I informed him that we didn’t get frost on that hill because of the nearness of the ocean and some peculiarities of the evening thermals. He turned white as a sheet and looked like he was gonna barf.
Eliminate the black market, and there won’t be such a thing as bag seeds. Legal weed is sinsemilla - female bud that has not been pollinated.
Do tell. Yeah...I kinda know these things. Seeds are like hen’s teeth these days. Worse than sinsemilla, it’s(legal weed) all clones. Most sinse was at least seed grown and the males pulled before maturity.
So the likelihood of a kid growing it isn’t what it use to be.
Well.....if he got his mitts on some clones. No big trick, there. And for a thousand dollars a plant, risk/reward....
They are. A lot of the cartels in Mexico are turning to heroin. Cheaper, easier to transport, people who want it, REALLY WANT IT...
How to make $ off it becoming legal.... Hm...
What I don’t get is that CA is all over vaping/cigarette smoking with “anti” ads programs, etc.. But not a peep on pot smoking?!?
