I’m wondering if this is temporary, and perhaps selling some silver now might not be a bad idea.

Well, I have no more dry powder. I am all in so I won’t be able to buy it.

On a serious note, it is hard for me to believe that anyone that invest in silver or silver stocks sees this as a top. Anyone out there plan on selling now?

I’m wondering the same thing. Perhaps 20%. Of course, the second I do it’ll spike to $35.

The last time it was this high was mid-2014, but it was spiraling downward from the $40’s.

"Anyone out there plan on selling now?"

Nope.

My silver hoard, mostly junk, is insurance.

Holy carp, blam! Last week was encouraging, but this is terrific!

Guess those safe queen Eagles won’t have to sit around all depressed like they did for the last two years :o)

Here’s to $40!

Any chance the speculators are playing with silver and it will go back to $15.00 per ounce?

A fair question - that nobody knows the answer to, except after the fact.

Prices have been artificially depressed for some time now, but those who (say they) know report that the price manipulation cannot last forever.

Think of it this way. Then, you can sell another 20% at $35.

I've been self-teaching myself about metals for just over two years now. I never would have sorted through the BS from coin and metal sellers if it weren't for advice I've gotten on FR.

I don't have much silver. What I do have is because silver seemed very rigged at a low price that didn't reflect either demand or new silver costs from mining. I was going on the assumption that a sane price wouldn't be less than $20.

But nothing about monetary issues makes sense any more.

Usually it means central banks are buying. They probably are trying to increase the money supply.

What the best place to buy gold or silver?

When it comes to silver, I play to the downturn and not the uptick. While temporary spikes occur, the downturns tend to be sustained over mush longer periods. Kinda like playing craps, but with silver there’s no way to be a “wrong” bettor.

I have found the best junk silver price at the local Mom and Pop (actually Brother and Brother) coin shop. But I only buy in small lots of what they can gather at local estate sales, etc.

I’ve been buying silver off and on for a while (American Silver Eagles, silver rounds, silver bars), and I’m not selling.

Not I. Silver, gold, pewter, copper and the like have been hard currency since the beginning of time.

Am I nuts for buying gold and silver? Perhaps, but in a serious economic situation, I’d rather than not.

>>What the best place to buy gold or silver?<<

I use APMEX. Pretty easy and within a few days...you’re holding it in your hands. They do not have a minimum and you can purchase fractional...anything.

I like..I Like very much.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Me I am opening back up my silver mining operation. Profitable above $19/oz.
