Why Diversity Programs Fail

Businesses started caring a lot more about diversity after a series of high-profile lawsuits rocked the financial industry. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Morgan Stanley shelled out $54 million—and Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch more than $100 million each—to settle sex discrimination claims. In 2007, Morgan was back at the table, facing a new class action, which cost the company $46 million. In 2013, Bank of America Merrill Lynch settled a race discrimination suit for $160 million. Cases like these brought Merrill’s total 15-year payout to nearly half a billion dollars.

It is astonishing that blacks, the least educated 13% of the population, the least productive, most criminal, and most dependent on governmental charity, have come to dominate national politics. Yet they do. Practically everything revolves around what the africans want, demand, do, or can’t do. Their power seems without limit. Courses of
instruction in the schools, academic rigor, codes of dress, rules regarding
unceasing obscenity, all must be set to suit them, as must be examinations for
promotion in fire departments, business, government operations, the military, and police forces. Blacks must be admitted to universities for which they are not remotely qualified, where departments of african Studies must be established to please them. Corporate work
forces, federal departments, and elite high-schools must be judged not on
whether they perform their functions but on whether they have the right number
of blacks. The demands simply can’t get any more ridiculous.

Such programs are promoting the stupid and those who seriously lack impulse control. Such programs will ultimately destroy significant institutions in our society and of course add tremendous burden and expense resulting from having to create useless jobs for them. I mean we cannot tolerate having thousands of Black Study students running around unemployed.

The full article was an interesting read; I found much to disagree with because the overall viewpoint was pro-diversity and dismissive of meritocracy, but an informative read nevertheless.

This PC and diversity crap has been going on long enough for everyone in a position to hire that the normal white guy is the safest to hire; he's the one who has to do the job he's applying for or gets unceremoniously canned.
It's safe to hire the normal white guy because he can be fired for any or no reason and has no advocates on his behalf.
I would bet even non-whites in a position to hire are more likely to at least give the normal white guy a shot because if things don't work out, the employer faces negligible exposure to a racially based lawsuit.
