I like your theory, but there’s a fly in the ointment.
Bill Clinton would not have agreed to participate in this very public spectacle, with its attendant optics, if it didn’t somehow benefit himself, Cankles, and their criminal enterprise. I seriously cannot believe that Slick would have made such a catastrophic miscalculation as this.
Here’s a theory that might explain his actions:
Slick and Lynch intentionally did this to force Obama into a compromised position. Lynch now MUST indict, when Coney delivers the evidence and his recommendation. This knocks Hillary out of the race and sets her up to be pardoned by Obama. She and Bubba then walk with millions of dollars in influence peddling, and are even shielded from reprisal from their ‘donors’ because she was forced out.
Meanwhile, Obama gets an alternate successor, in the guise of Biden or some other white knight.
I’m sure that it’s already understood among the top democrat strategists, that Hillary will lose in a landslide to Trump. They must execute Plan B at once, if they’re to have any hope of beating him in the Fall, and preserving the globalist agenda.
The obvious plan is Hittlery will win with a few million illegals and dead people all voting for her, then Lynch will be her SCOTUS nominee. McCon-all will continue to be the face of moderate, reasonable gOp'ers and he'll lie to conservatives while greasing the skids for her filibuster-proof confirmation. No one can refuse a black women regardless of integrity or qualifications and no one except Cruz and maybe 1 or 2 others will utter a peep.
When the Host was identified as a Washington Post Reporter, and he gave his introductory question(Joke?), I turned the TV off!
The Democrat Junta is in place and we are now in the darkest of times.

Clinton and Lynch did this intentionally, in order to steer events in a direction beneficial to all of the major players.

You might want to re-think your last statement. Recall that Bill Clinton got caught in the ultimate compromising position.
I’m no fan of the Washington Post, but the reporter didn’t do a bad job. He was fairly persistent with her. That said, he could still have been tougher in terms of presenting some ‘what if’ scenarios to her. But realistically, he’s a WP guy so the expectations were low to begin with.
With LL gone they (DOJ) will vote to not indict because they all want a job if The Hildabeast wins. Voting against her will ruin their career. There is no justice in the DOJ. This nation is a Banana Republic.

Clinton and Lynch intended for the world to see this. These people are far too sophisticated to bungle such a thing. If they really wanted to meet in private, it could have been done with ease. Recall that Bubba slipped his Secret Service detail on at least two occasions to visit Lolita Island.

when you are at the top of an organization and you are corrupt or have a conflict of interest, the matter has to go outside of your sphere of power or influence. Giving it to subordinate who’s job is dependent upon you is the same as no recusal.
