The US sailors who were detained by the Iranian navy last winter provided their name, rank and serial numbers - and pretty much everything else their captors demanded, the US Navy said in a blistering report Thursday.
The 10 crew members, captured at gunpoint in the Persian Gulf on Jan. 12 by Irans Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, improperly revealed passwords for laptops and cellphones and even sensitive technical details about their two ships, including their top speed, capabilities and missions, the report said.

The Navy report blamed the incident on a combination of poor planning, clueless leaders who did not properly consider how risky their actions were, a lack of crew oversight and low morale.

An excellent argument for keeping women out of combat.
I know someone who lived in NYC at the time (WWII), and he recalled that the blackout ostensibly to prevent the silhouetting of ships was actually to prevent NYers from seeing the ships damaged by U-boat attacks limping into port at night. Our government never told the public how bad it was during “Drumbeat”, but some things couldn’t be concealed; IIRC, off the Florida coast sunbathers watched a U-boat on the surface sink a ship off the beach - and the U-boat was between the beach and the ship itself.
I believe German subsidiaries of American insurance companies could also access information on the cargoes of specific cargo ships as well; some of the officers of torpedoed ships were shocked at how much the U-boat officers knew about the ships they were sinking...

Oh no....you are probably right... that’s why women should not be in combat.
Men will want to protect them, to their own detriment.
I don’t believe what they are saying. I think its a cover up for Obama and some sort of hostage exchange. They told our men take the blame, take the hit or else. Look over here, not over there type of thing. Something major happened. No way the men didn’t use their navigation and accidentally landed in Iranian territory. Nope something big happened and we are being fed this story.
Bwahahah, that is hilarious!
It seems the commie bastards in the govt want women in combat to demoralize the male soldiers.
easy for the Navy to claim these sailors blabbed...now, there is plausible deniability for the witch and her revealing of top secrets to everyone and their brother....
Women are needed in war... just not on the battlefield. Men have to have someone to fight for, whether she's the USO entertainer or the housewife saving scrap metal or the Rosie the Riveter or some Army desk clerk. Women can help, powerfully even, but NOT on the field of battle. On the field of battle they weaken and distract and destroy troop integrity and fighting strength. I will not apologize for what I've said here.
I will not apologize for what I’ve said here.

Rest assured, as long as I am breathing, you have someone in lock step with you.
Like I say, as Long as I am alive, BO and LIBS and RINOs/GOPes in general will never attain 100% favorability.
Why don’t you check with Travis McGee, who was a Navy Seal re what he felt happen with the two boats.
Read about the USS Cole and what happened to the sailors on that unarmed ship in a semi hostile port.
Did you ever serve in the military?
Those of us, who, did not sign a suicide pact, when we took/made the oath.
I should have known....this is FR. Most of us are vets I think. Thanks for your service.
And thank you for your service also...If you are a foreign war vet, WELCOME HONE......
Damn...It’s late...”HOME”....
Exactly...That’s been my biggest argument all along...It’s the instinct in every man born to protect a woman...He may do it subconsciously, but he will do it....
I think Mike Tyson had a decent quote.
“Everybody’s got a game plan,....until they get punched in the mouth...”
One can argue about the effectiveness of women in combat billets, until they get decked in the face.
Have you ever noticed that McCain never lifts his arms above his waist? It's because he can't.
