A German regional official says the European Union should cut spending rather than compensate for Britains EU budget contribution by making his country pay more. [ ]
Bavarias state finance minister, Markus Soeder, told daily Die Welts Thursday edition: We Germans must take care that, after a Brexit, the British payments are not simply transferred to Germany and the other net contributors.
Asked how the EU should make up the money, he was quoted as saying: Very simple. By saving.

Logic would dictate that the U.K. is going to see a net gain, contrary to the fear mongering of the "Remain" advocates.
Kind of like the dilemma faced by liberal states when their cash cow businesses leave the barn . . . they have to sheer the other sheep more.
A tacit admission that the EU is fleecing the UK. Once their Golden Goose is gone, they'll be forced to cut spending.
