Historians may well label this and the past few decades as the age of the Fear Monger. The western political class has invoked fear of a cooling climate, a warming climate, aerosol chemicals, land fills, fracking, nuclear power, fossil fuels, and even the air which plants breath and on which all life of this planet depends (CO2), labeling them as things that will kill us. At the same time actual physical threats like your bearded Muslim neighbor playing with diesel and fertilizer in his basement, the quiet guy down the street who goes out of his way to pal up with your adolescent kid, or the professor at your son’s or daughter’s college drilling Marxist babble into their impressionable skulls are sacrosanct. They’ve pushed the mainspring of common sense almost as far as it can go and the snap back is going to be really something.
CNN and PMSNBC talking pinheads will have the vapours for the rest of the day.
Break out the smelling salts!

[snip] The MP was appointed to Jeremy Corbyns top team as shadow education secretary on Monday but just 24 hours later she publicly declared she will leave parliament at the next general election, warning the party should prepare for a vote in October. “I have found the last six months very, very difficult... The referendum has been incredibly divisive, it divided families and communities and I have found it bruising in many respects. It has had an impact on both me and my family as I am sure it has had on many others. I have informed my CLP Chair that whenever the next General Election takes place, I will not be Labour’s candidate. [/snip]
