Thus it wasn't much different than other rodents in the area.

It was a rodent, they literally breed every chance they get, micro evolutionary change especially within a limited breed stock could happen within the span of centuries if that. Would not be surprised if it started it's evolutionary journey from the seed of some stranded ship rats from the 18th century.

I find it hard to believe it survived events such as:

So how did this little rat survive millions of years of sea level change? It didn't, because it isn't.

2) Scientists, while “devastated”, couldn’t be all that worried about it, otherwise they’d be trying harder to trap a few for saving.
3) Species evolve. Or don’t and die out. Been like that since day one. If the “scientists” could see past the end of their own noses, they’d know this.

A flat-out lie. Sea levels have risen something like one-half inch - or less - in the past 100 years. Was the highest elevation on this "island" (it sounds more like a coral reef) only one inch?

We have continental drift, shifting tectonic plates, and normal wind and water erosion, all occurring constantly without human causation.

2011 - Typhoon Yasi - 12 foot wave action up to 300 miles from the epicenter..

The alarmists sound as if they imagined the climate did not change and the sea level did not fall and rise until the 20th century. The changes in sea level and temp during the few decades they are losing their minds over is tiny when you zoom out to thousands of years and has no significance and is not in the least unusual.

Sea level has slowly risen for a long long time. It will eventually reverse itself over a long time. And it isn't perceptibly faster now then it appears to have been in the past.

I like giving people the benefit of the doubt before calling them frauds....but I don't have much doubt left. The alarmists who claim to be "scientists" or "journalists of science" seem like they must be frauds. Either incompetent or dishonest or both.
