“....under heavy pressure from MSNBC’s Chris Matthews Trump gave the thoughtless answer — “there has to be some form of punishment.”
This may not be a politically correct answer, nor an answer that a typical milksop Republican would give, but why is it thoughtless? Wrong?
Politifact is part of the Tampa Bay Times, a very liberal paper.
Who fact checks the fact checkers?
PolitiFact mostly checks "facts" that have the desired outcome.
From a Trump speech, they'll pick mostly the ones they can rate false.
From a Clinton speech, they'll pick mostly the ones they can rate true.
This pattern repeats itself for all politicians. It depends on whether you are on their sh** list or golden list.
They are also dishonest when confronted with evidence they got their own facts wrong, twisting themselves into pretzels to avoid admitting a mistake.
He was one of the pearl clutchers at National Review who enthusiastically pig-piled on Trump in the Against Trump issue.
Brent is dead to me. I regret every dollar I often sent to him for his Parent's Television Council issues group. In return I received his ludicrously self-righteous newsletter reprinting the filthy television dialogue he was supposedly excoriating; but his group never did succeed in getting cable companies to unbundle their packages so parents could eliminate porn and smut channels. He is an intellectual failure who cannot think properly and did not execute his mission; and has been riding the coattails of the reputation of his uncle William F. Buckley for too long.
