Good morning Jane and all, I have not had a chance to follow any threads still have the Trump family in my prayers.
We are still without electricity, stayed at the house for 3 days but the 100+ temps were too much for us. Firefighters and emergency personnel occupied all of the motel rooms in our area so had to go to Bakersfield about 1 hour for accommodations. Returned yesterday to clean out fridge, water garden etc.
We live 3 blocks from the elderly couple who died from smoke inhalation. Our small community of 800-900 residents was saved because of our close proximity to the lake and the helicopters that were able to bring in many water buckets. We live next door to a rural 25 bed hospital which had a high priority on the firefighters list.
The electric company has 250 personnel on site and hundreds of repair trucks onsite. Many of the transmission lines that were burned are in very remote mountainous areas and difficult to reach but hopefully we will have power back soon............
It will be a few more days before I return to FR but will be back to watch Donald Trump’s march to the White House......Ray
I’m hurting for you Ray. Thanks for checking in. . Love/hugs from ohio
Ray, bless you Thanks for reporting in! Will continue to pray for you and your neighbors.
Thank you for checking in and the diary - so sad to hear about the deaths of your somewhat near neighbors, but happy you are managing to “come back” after the catastrophe.
Good morning, Ray!!
So good to hear from you...that you are safe.
Keeping you and your area in prayer for speedy rebuilding/recovery completions.
Thanks for checking in. Take care and we’ll see you back here, soon!!
Will be thinking of you and praying for a quick resolution to the issues keeping you from your home. I can honestly say I’m certain I won’t be the only one missing your great photos and graphics! Stay safe.... 🌺
God bless you,Ray.
Sorry for your troubles, but glad to hear about you persevering in the midst of adversity.
Good example for the rest of us.
Please accept any offers of help during this hard time. People do want to help their fellow neighbor and even if it's a little more work for them they see the good in the end and what their faith actually means. Take care.
