“I’m here ... now that’s enough Africans!” It’s quite a reasonable calculation of advantages, and appears in a great variety of forms and situations.
Err.. you do realize that the immigration debate in the UK for the referendum was due to EUROPEAN immigrants to the UK from the EU? The UK had to cut non-EU immigrants to try and limit the overall number of immigrants (As EU immigrants don’t need any permission and can walk in)? It’s got nothing to do with “now that’s enough Africans”
The referendum debate could not escape the thorny issue of immigration, and the African migrant who voted to leave was as fearful of the new arrivals, of his or her chances in a crowded job and housing market, as was his indigenous British neighbour.
