With my respect for my Catholic brothers and sisters— we all believe in Jesus as the Son of God which is all it takes ( JN 3:16) I must say this guy is bass akwards. How about offering them life eternal. I thought that was the business he was in. Life eternal. All they have to do is accept Christ as lord of their lives, including lord of every part of their lives. Same as anyone else.

If he wants to apologize, he could apologize for failing to mention that, if they lay it all on the altar they can have a life that actually has meaning here on earth and then transcends the grave as the icing on the cake.

You know, for future reference, next time around they should maybe make sure the guy they promote to the Vatican is actually a Christian.
