A little late to the party. This has been going on for at least 4 years.

Wait until the GOP gets the majority in both houses, then we will get something done about it.

Oh...wait...

The IRS does not need guns at all. Hope Trump takes these guns away from the IRS since it seems that King Obama is trying to make this organization part of his army to control America. He hopes for civil insurrection before he leaves so he can invoke martial law and get another term.

Trump for President.

Why wasn’t Coburn asking these questions while he was in the Senate?

Oh! I know—RINO!!

Back in the 80s, there was lots and lots of “military surplus” ammo on the market, especially in towns with military bases.

Not much mil stuff now, but there are many offerings for “government contract over runs” ammo offered these days if you look.

Likely it was/is stuff that “fell off the truck”.

“..The IRS does not need guns at all...”

In reality, as most know, we need only about 10% of the IRS in general and certainly do not need an oppressive administration. Agreed -— Clean out Congress of RINOs and socialists and TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT.

Wake up voters and get the job done!!!

First off, the IRS is unconstitutional

Second off - NO RIGHT to have assault weapons, which would ONLY be turned on civilians -

I’ve seen this a few places. Are they actually AR-15s or are they select-fire military rifles, M-16/M-4? Obama said his civilian force would be as well equipped as the military.

If one were to audit the non military agencies that requested and received weapons, I wonder how many have gone out the back door and can no longer be accounted?

Out the back door to ?
Drug cartels?
Islamic countries?
Maybe it just a money laundering scam?

Question: Why does IRS need guns.

Answer: Government bureaucrats, conscious of their lack of their inability to give good government, are becoming increasingly frightened.

I had to go to the Social Security office in our little city after my Dad passed away.

I had to go through a metal detector with two armed guards standing there just to get into the building.

The Social Security office waiting area looked like a prison.

Chairs lined up against the wall with an armed security guard facing you.

There was a cement wall between the citizens and the Social Security employees.

The waiting area was covered by cameras.

Your point of access to the taxpayer-paid employees was a thick piece of bullet proof glass with an intercom.

Unbelievable.

As they are using “sub-machinegun” instructors, I would say they have full auto M4s.

Read their training requirements, it is not about collecting past due taxes, this is combat training, aimed at citizens.

This metastization has been going on for over a decade.

I would restrict the ability to order weapons and ammo to only a few agencies. Basically if you agency cannot make a good case for having Federal arrest powers they cannot buy weapons or ammo. Note Land management agencies (USDA FS, BLM and Park Service et al) have no need for Federal arrest power, they should talk to the local government about having their arrest power (extreme example, who gets to arrest the drunken fool driving aimlessly shooting a gun out his window while in a National Park?).

There would be a few exceptions to my general rules, like the Smithsonian would be able to buy weapons, but could not buy ammo for their museum pieces.

You know that ‘if we have to go house-to-house, we will’ stuff? Do you think they know that crap works both ways?
