Immigration mattered a great deal

And it has as well for decades in the U.S. But here the people are ignored, lied to and deceived by those in government.

I’m damned proud of my ancestral brothers. I hope the spirit continues across the pond. Then perhaps Churchill’s English-speaking people will create a new birth of freedom in the world, once again.

Liberty still lives in a majority of hearts in the British citizenry.

The utter failure of the tyrants in Brussels is exposed. If things were going well after 17 years, Britain would never have brought this question to a vote, let alone voted to leave.

How will the British government react?

God bless those UK voters, more than enough to say they refuse to be enslaved and grifted by a corrupt tyranny they have no say in how is run by Germany/”Brussels”.

The young who voted Remain in 1975 overwhelmingly voted Leave in 2016

It's called growing up.

But alas, many never do. Nothing is more pathetic than old progressives.

Immigration mattered a great deal.

This is the issue that unites the common people against the establishment elites. Recent elections throughout Europe have resulted in similar outcomes which have dumbfounded sitting governments. The results of the Republican primaries in this country have shown the same concerns of the common folk. Trump was the ONLY candidate to seize on the issue befuddling the other candidates. Trump is also the only candidate who has bravely taken the popular stance that radical Islamic Muslim terrorism is evil. It will be very interesting to see what the response will be.

This was the day the British people defied their jailers

The British people? 51.99% to 48.1%. "The people have spoken". But 48.1% voted to stay in the EU.

Imagine if all of your strong and adventurous people emigrated, leaving only the fat and disabled.

You're imagining Scotland.

London is simply a different country: the metropolis triumphant

Wonder if the Muslim mayor is another indication of maybe something?

I have to think that the British just got sick of being lied to especially in the area of Immigration. People have eyes they see what is happening - maybe slightly late but better late than never. They are sick and tired of being told that Muslims are basically good when all the terrorism is being committed by them.

They were also sick and tired of voting for a party and then have rulings made in the EU which negated their vote.

I am hoping the emergence of Trump shows that Americans too are sick and tired of being lied to by the political elite and are ready to return to some sort of sane, rational belief system!

The young who voted Remain in 1975 overwhelmingly voted Leave in 2016. In part, perhaps, because they didn’t like being characterised as ancient bigots by the Remain side.

Or, perhaps, the very lives they have lived showed how bad a decision they had made and they corrected their mistake.

Nah, that couldn't be it. /sarcasm
