U.S. authorities are investigating an illegal immigrantion smuggling operation allegedly run by active duty military soldiers out of the Ft. Bliss U.S. Army post in El Paso, Texas. Ft. Bliss is headquarters for El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC), a federal tactical operational intelligence center.
According to sources and documents, two U.S. soldiers, Marco Antonio Nava, Jr. and Joseph Cleveland, were arrested last Saturday by border patrol officers at Falfurias, Texas Border Patrol Station Checkpoint attempting to smuggle two Mexican citizens into the U.S. The Mexicans were riding in the back seat of the car. Upon their arrest, the soldiers, who were not in uniform at the time, informed Border Patrol agents they are part of the 377 TC Company at Ft. Bliss.
"We are aware that two Fort Bliss Soldiers have been arrested," Mike Brantley, a spokesman for Fort Bliss, said. "We can confirm they are both assigned to the 377 Transportation Company here; however, as this is an ongoing investigation we cannot comment further."

It could be worse. They could have been snuggling in prostitutes.
Court marshal.
Really? They should have just said they’d meet them at the river and drove off with them.
Obama’s “wildly popular” new military.
Obama will be looking for a way to give them a medal.
Jees. Like something from a script of ‘NCIS’ or ‘Person of Interest’.
Transportation company!?
I’d bet one of them was connected with those being smuggled.
Courts Martial. Just sayin’. No offense intended.
Tribalism trumps everything.
Illegals allowed to serve in the U.S. military: The gift that just keeps on giving.
marshall????
Hard to believe any soldier would do this, but oaths haven’t been oaths as much since the Kenyan clown pitched his circus tent in D.C.
I spent 32 years in the Army, very easy to believe this. As the saying goes, 5% of your soldiers will take up 95% of your time. The commander and First Sergeant of the 377th TC will have a very long day today.
Re: court martial, the civilian courts will get the first shot, the military may or may not press additional charges. If the civilians convict them, they may just discharge them and wash their hands of the whole thing.
I wish it weren’t so, but I know that it is.
