They played a piece from some classical 1600 concerto this morning on a local radio station Sounded identical to the intro to Stairway to Heaven.
Nearly all POP music can be tied back to classical works... and nearly all of it is the same 3 or 4 chords.

I’ve seen several news reports over the years and I too never heard a similarity
“They played a piece from some classical 1600 concerto this morning on a local radio station. Sounded identical...”
Led Zep’s lawyers made that point by saying the riff was a standard chord progression that has shown up in lots of pieces of music, and on which the plaintiff owned no copyright anyway, so how could it possibly be stolen, especially 40 years later?
3 strikes.
My question: what, exactly, is a “bustle in your hedgerow” and how can I tell if I have one?
