Under the guise of reform, President Obama is dismantling Medicare dooming seniors to needless pain and disability and shortening their lives.
The stakes are high, because Medicare and the access it gives patients to medical innovations have transformed aging. Before Medicare, older folks languished in nursing homes or wheelchairs with crippling illnesses. Now, seniors dodge that fate, thanks to hip and knee replacements, cataract operations and heart procedures all paid for by Medicare.

That man is despicable. He is forcing us to pay for abortions, sex “change” operations, and euthanasia, while condemning the elderly to pain and death. He is a f*****g c********r.
But we can afford billions for other countries. We can afford billions for illegals. I won’t say what I’m thinking because I don’t want to be banned.
In California, Oregon, etc. it’s called assisted suicide aka euthanasia.
DUMBO gutted Medicare to pay for DUMBOCARE.
You can see the differences in the medical field today than there was just 4 years ago. Many test are now 2 yrs apart and at an older age. Many blood test aren’t covered any more. And if you are Ret. Military over 65 TRI-CARE for LIFE is under DOD MANDATES on top of Medicare MANDATES. DOD MANDATED all daily meds come from a Military base or Express Scripts, do some research on them, FRAUD is their game. Very cumbersome system. The base that fills your meds, does NOT refill them, for us it’s done out of Pensacola. 5 days to get a refill, and you might not get the same med each time. This is a big issue for those who have med sensitivities. ES takes 2 weeks to refill, just stuffs your meds in the mail box UNSIGNED for. No matter how expensive the meds are. Most doctors don’t know how to write for the Military requirements of 30/90 drugs. Often you have to write scripts for multiple times a day, to get 2 doses of a med. Means a lot of simple math skills are needed.
Don’t go on Tuesday’s, lines to long, no accommodations for handicapped. Not even in parking. Not enough tech’s to service both the active duty and the retirees. Thanks to DUMBO’s downsizing the Military.
Population control has always been an issue for the left. They have found ways to implement it so there is no need to beat the overpopulation drums.
I want to change my PCP, we can change docs easy, but with the new narcotic laws can’t find one who will script for Valium, they all want to shift that to Pain Management, I don’t need another batch of useless doctors, have to many as is, getting ready to fire at least 3 of them. We don’t know what is wrong, come back in 2 months or 6 months. More useless test. Or the Rotator tear is to small to fix...won’t admit their drugs caused the Osteoporosis..brittle bones they want you to take FDA FLAGGED drugs for. Sure won’t fix you degenerative back.
PCP has been running glucose test, not her job. So it runs high every 3 months, because I take 1000 mg C in the morning. Tries to tell me I have a ‘sugar’ issue, BS. Writes a script for full blown diabetes med, worse one at to strong a dosage for a ‘newbie’, and NO A1C1, No Keytone testing, NO Test Meter, had to insist on one. 1 test strip per day. Now my eldest is Type 2, he tests at least 4 times a day. And said not to fill the script as it could kill me. Let your ENDO, who does my Thyroid take care of the issue, after all both are his field, PCP does not have the training to treat.
She is one of those 5 min ins docs. And can’t handle a senior with multiple health issues.
Friend had 1 hip replacement prior to DUMBOCARE, second was after, night and day difference in treatment, rehab and pain management. This is a college educated woman who runs the TN chapter of Eagle Forum.
Just as he told that lady at the Obamacare town hall he would do.
I have been telling all my friends for at least 10 years “ If you are thinking of replacement surgeries get it done before Obama screws up all your options “
Last week I was talking to a guy whose mother was on Medicare, and yet she couldn’t get Medicare to pay for eyeglasses — her first new pair of glasses in decades. She was told she could get glasses if she signed up for Medicaid. Most doctors and opticians don’t accept Medicaid so she’s stuck.
Not the first time I’ve heard that Medicare is failing to provide. Makes you wonder, if there is a shift away from Medicare and toward Medicaid for the elderly — and what the consequences will be if Medicaid isn’t accepted by most providers.
Hearing aids aren't covered either. Don't mean to be crass, but maybe the son could buy her glasses if she can't afford them..
It’s not just the doctors. Have a friend whose Hubby is dieing from bladder cancer. It is in his bones and he is in tremendous pain. No hospice yet. Oncologist is giving him Fentenal Patches and morphine. He is taking more than doc prescribed so she called doc to get more. Doc wrote her a new scrip. The pharmacist told her ‘I’ll fill it this time but he’s taking to much. I won’t fill it again.’
This is a man who is dieing and the pharmacist threatened to not give him his pain meds!
You are absolutely correct about the Dr’s finding themselves under the gun for prescribing too many pain meds. My husband has had 4 major back surgeries [among other serious pain related issues]....been through the useless pain management....he WAS on a pain pill that helped but then the gov decided he shouldn’t get it anymore, so his Dr prescribed another pain med which works, but of course, he has to take more of them to do what the previous pill did by only taking one. His Dr told him to please try to conserve his pain pills as much as he can because the day will come when they wont let her prescribe any pain pills to him anymore. My husband is NOT a person who abuses narcotics either. It took his Dr over 4 yrs to talk him into accepting a prescription for Oxycotin because he had heard so many stories about it being highly addictive. What a sad world we are living in.....when older folks can’t get anything to help with their pain.
Here's my all time favorite, straight from the horse's ass...
No doubt he will, but the point is, Medicare seems to be able to avoid paying for even simple thing that ought to be covered, and it seems to be driving people into Medicaid (for which, in some cases, they must divest themselves of assets).
Medicaid, as I understand it, is for poor people so a person must fall under a certain income level to qualify and from what I’ve heard; the system tries to push them onto o’care. Presumably to bolster the roll numbers.
President Trump, if he follows through on his promise, will eliminate o’care while at the same time replacing it with something more in line with our capitalist society and where doctors can afford to make a living seeing patients again.
There are a lot of things not covered. It is estimated the average senior that turns 65 today is likely to have ~$120K in out of pocket health expenses before they expire..
