If the Democrats win they are going to impose a Tobin Tax on Wall Street and use the money to fund increased SS benefits. And they’ll extend the payroll tax to “EEEEEEEVIL RICH” levels of income.
It will poll north of 80% public approval. I bet not more than a dozen Republicans will vote against it.
The ONLY reasons we aren’t a Socialist Country yet are:
a. We The People have been able to keep ourselves armed against a tyrannical government, and...
b. We haven’t run out of, ‘Other People’s Money’ because we’re such a filthy, stinking RICH country.
It may not always feel that way, but luckily Full Frontal Socialism hasn’t taken over. Yet.

The Social Security Disability System is about to exhaust its trust fund, which would result in automatic benefit reductions.
The Old Age Social Security system is actuarially unsound. Some sort of benefit reductions will have to be made.
As for taxing the rich, they are already taxed highly. They may simply decide to whack little white balls for a few years while Hillary blows her top.
Most of the rich own overvalued stock. There is almost no true market for the overpriced stock.
And the true market is getting smaller as the Democrats are getting greedier.
I think we are going to go the way of Argentina, complete with Evita II.
