Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is leaving the campaign, just weeks before the Republican convention where Trump is set to claim the GOP presidential nomination.
A Trump senior campaign aide confirmed to Fox News Monday morning that Lewandowski is no longer with the campaign.
It's unclear what specifically led to the shake-up. The high-profile departure of one of Trump's most senior and loyal advisers follows what was widely seen as a rough patch for the campaign.

We all mis-type?
A lot of us just don’t relate to NY having never been exposed to it in this way. He is an archetype of the NY tycoon. Wasn’t there a song about a NY state of mind?
I’m not suggesting it is wrong but it is different from what a lot of us are accustomed to.
I miss the days of the Super Secret, Super Genius plans of the Bushite years.
And when Rove was a magnificent bastard.
Thank you Corey. You did a great job. :)
Does Trump want to lose?
Do you like Trump?
Manafort is the GOPe Trojan Horse.
The primaries are over now. Most of the electorate, who do not vote in primaries will tune in from the convention to election day, that is who I am speaking about.
At first blush, they do not see Trump as a viable candidate, just as I dismissed him the first 3 months of his campaign.
When you cut through the crap, Trump’s real difficulty is being treated as a legitimate candidate which is understandable as a non-politician.
I think Trump can be serious. Trump needs others to see him being serious and prepared. He is often not prepared. I blame his skeletal staff for that When he is prepared look at how well he has done such as when he gave the AIPAC speech and the foreign policy speech.
Hillary is crooked as hell, but she appears informed.
The bottom line is American swing voters want a President who is prepared for the job.
Will Trump appear ready?
Not likely. He got booted and escorted out the door by security (pictures show him as he goes out the door).
Rush just said Trump’s kids were responsible for the decision to fire him.
“The fools in the media will be making a huge deal out of this. Its likely due to Lewandowski not being up to handling the campaign at this stage of the game. Manafort is the pro and Trump has had time see if they can work together. Ill be curious to see if Lewandowski still has a role.”
Fools in media and GOPe will be saying this is a great move and Trump is finally doing what he needs to etc...
“Do you like Trump?”
Better than you, it seems.
You called that right. I’ve heard it several times this morning already. Salem Radio, the propaganda arm of the GOPe.
Don’t let the attacks get you down. There are flaws in Trump’s campaign. Something took him down to 70% unfavorable ratings.
Good, tell me some things you like about him.
Trump has been “all over the place” if you listen to the media. Unfortunately, the negative Trump ads are adding to his defensive moves. He needs to get an offensive agenda and not get distracted.
It’s a little more than that. Lewandowski apparently just wasn’t taking orders well from Manafort, and maybe he just didn’t have the skill set to run a national, vs. state or even regional campaign.
