What is important is not is called “Muslim terrorist attacks” against Americans but preventing any negative reaction to or investigation of the Muslim presence in America. Therefore both Federal,State and local officials will vigorously seek out and prosecute any Islamophobic hate speech or unjust accusations of Muslim terrorism. This is not going to be tolerated.

Now some have taken upon themselves the means to change the situation sometimes with violent means and yes at times innocents can experience a negative outcome either here or overseas but we need to look past that, examine the reasons that force Muslims to stand against injustice and move to fundamentally change both America and begin the process of healing and reconciliation both here and overseas. I stated before the the Muslim call to pray is one of the most beautiful sounds ever to bless humanity as it is a call to fairness,justice,and tolerance,and mercy.These are values that we share as Americans and finger pointing,profiling,and preventing folks from coming to and being part of America just because they practice a different religion is not the America we want and we are not going to give in to those who want to turn America back to a time where you had to be a certain sex,race,religion,and sexuality in order to make it in America. This is not who we are! When I took office nearly eight years ago I promised that we were going to fundamentally change America and we aren't going to revert to the mistakes of the past.I haven't achieved everything I have hoped for but we are going forward and I want to assure my fellow progressives and warn your so called Freepers that when Hillary is elected that I still will have a vital role to play in Washington and the platform of change that I came to Washington with will continue.I will simply tell your so called Freepers that they can either be part of the future or remain bitter and cling to the past but the rest of us are moving forward!”
