I thought he was self funding his campaign. I honestly have tweets and videos of him saying this.
Did I miss something?

He's said he would self fund the primary, but not necessarily self fund the general. He doens't make this distinction often, so it's natural to think he was planning to self fund all the way through the general.
He has also always accepted individual donations. I think it's fair to say that he has no need to align behind a wealthy donor, which is what other politicians have to do.

Trump self-funded his campaign in the primaries. If he runs as a “team” Republican, they funding for all elections gets involved using their data bases, etc.

He self funded his gop nomination race. He’s been exploring how he can raise money for the GOP and I’m sure himself without looking like he was renigging.
While I feel he is reneging a tad, I’m slightly favorable for him doing so. Hillary will have the DNC and half the RNC money at her disposal.

THE PRIMARY... He has proved that he has skin in the game. I think it is past the time to ask for individual citizen donations...people need to feel like they are part of his victory.

Campaign to date but not the general election. THAT requires about a billion dollars.

I thought he was self funding his campaign. I honestly have tweets and videos of him saying this. He self-funded the Primary leg of it to prove he was not beholden to anyone. Only a fool would plan on spending over a $ billion of their own money w/o the thought of getting financial aid from the Party that one represents. His willingness is another good sign - he's telling the GOPe/RNC and the Repub traitors that they can go pound sand if they think they can stop him via spite fits....
